Yeeah. Was definitely making backgrounds/borders on a seperate layer. Didn't even know those properties existed. I'm such an idiot. Yeah, yeah. I know RTFM. I just found TFM today, though. :-P

Semagic is open, right? I wonder how hard it would be to hack Itunes music detection in it
On a related note, I should really write something to help me set proper tags onto my music files one of these days. It ought to have some human interaction, since in some cases the tag is correct, in other cases the directory is correct, and there's no good way of progmatically telling the difference between the two. In that case, it really has to let me do a set of them and resume later, since I'm at 6.5 G right now. O_O;;

Out of curiousity, what does everyone use to rip CD's under windows? All the ones I've used before sucked in one way or another. I want something that will allow for a high bitrate, automatically query CDDB, let me decide the file naming structure (I like things stored as $musicdir/artist/album/artist - album - track - trackname.ext), and automatically fill out any tags so I don't have to think aboot it.

This was a dramatization of what would happen if Mike was a robot reading this nonsensical business. Do not take from this that Mike is actually a robot, because he is not. Promise.

Seriously, man, this is why we need to find you a girlfriend. Preferably one named Gertrude.

Mip.

hehe, I didn't know those properties existed either! I guess if I ever need to give a flash textfield a background or border, I know what to do now.

As for ripping, I use something called CDex. I think it has everything you want, I know it does the CDDB only you have to tell it to do that, has a bigh bitrate, and lets you pick how it names the files. A friend recommended it to me. I don't rememebr where I got it but you probably know where to look for such things.
