illo me

(no subject)

The move in went well. Well, except that Alex hit Matt's car, 'causing Matt to hit my car. Eh. That's life though.

The rooms are bloody nice. Ceilings go up forever and ever. It's wonderful.

Yesterday, me, Marc, Mike, and Jess went down to South Street. It was nice not to drive there for a change. ;) Afterwards, we went to the freshman picnic thing to get free decent dinner, and we ran into Kene over there. Not a bad deal.

Installed Slackware on DareDevil's old hard drive. (I set DareDevil's old HD up in Hulk with installing other OS's in mind.) I need to figure out how to manually install lilo to a floppy, since the begining of hdc is not a hip place to put it, it seems. I also need to figure out how to get it to recognise my onboard network card. Oh, and I haven't even thought of trying to set up or run X yet. :-p

I'm starting to realise my schedule for today is a little stupidly arranged. Karate from 10:10 to 11:30, Disc Math 2 from 11:40 until 1:00, and then work right after that either until 4:30 or 5:30. eeep!
illo me

First day of school thoughts

Karate was interesting. It will definitely be difficult to understand what Professor Okazaki is saying. It's all good, though, 'cause I have an excuse to go out and buy karate robe stuff. Yay!

I got a chance to feel stupid looking for my Disc Math class. Seems as though they consolidated three of the sections, so the class was in Tuttleman instead of Ritter as I originally thought.
It's for the better. Ritter is as confusing as fuck. I was wandering around there for a good 20 minutes before I found the classroom I thought I was supposed to be in. It was confusing. Almost all wimin. Only 3 guys. Should've guessed it was a phoenics class, not a computer science class! :-p
Fortunately, there was a computer lab right next to the phoenics class so I could look up my schedule. Found out that my site looks like absolute ass in netscape 4.x, though. I guess css isn't ready for the bigleagues quite yet. :-(

I'm still batting around with the phone people. Gr. I want dialtone, damnit. I don't really care too much about making outgoing calls. It would be nice to call up people in other buildings, though.
