so weird... [Mar. 21st, 2003|12:49 am]
Chaz Meyers
Earlier today, Marc came in from his student teaching and told me about how right before he walked by, some kid jumped out of Anderson and killed himself.

Thought to myself, "Geez. That sucks."

A few hours later, I was over Aymon's and he got an email that Temple sent out to everyone about it. Turns out it was Kishan, a guy who lived on the same floor as Aymon, Mike, and I. He lived a few doors down from me last year. I only talked to him a handful of times the entire year and Aymon was much closer friends with him than I was, but it's still really weird to know that someone you once talked is no longer alive.

Between this and this bullshit war we're going through with up to the minute TV coverage, is it just me or is life seeming less real as time goes on, and more like a movie?

Well that's a little wierd

This is actually the first I've heard about any of this, and being a commuter, it doesn't really surprise me all that much. But I did check my mail on astro and I didn't get anything from temple about it, but, then again, when has temple's email actually worked?

Re: Well that's a little wierd

In a tragic incident, at approximately 5 p.m. on Thursday, March 20, 2003,
an undergraduate Business student, Kishan D. Sheth, jumped to his death
from an upper floor in Anderson Hall. The University community's deepest
sympathy goes out to the Sheth family and friends.

Any student who would like to speak with a counselor, should call the
Tuttleman Counseling Services Office at 215-204-7276 during the day or the
Campus Police dispatcher at 215-204-1234 after 5 p.m.

Faculty and staff are directed to the services available through the
University's Psychological Services Center http://www.temple.edu/PSC on
the fourth floor of Weiss Hall on the Main Campus (215-204-7324).

Re: Well that's a little wierd

I didn't get the email yet on my account either. But it just pretty much said what Jess posted above.
