Yesterday, the birthday party deal for my brother wasn't too bad. As it turned out, I managed to get out of bowling, personally, through the strategic use of the word 'No', and through that saved much face.
It amuses me how there were about 10 boys and 2 girls, and everyone managed to stay perfectly segregated. That, and knowing how that'll be making a complete flip in a few years. Ah, 12 year olds.
I felt bad for the two girls, though. Especially Lauren. She's been Shaun's friend forever and ever, but he rarely gets to see her nowadays since she moved forever away. (Forever away by little kids terms of distance, not actual distance. It's only about 15-30 minutes away.) Maybe she had a decent time anyway.
Also, mark this in your books, everyone! Plans I made for when I get home actually worked out for the first time in forever. I had the unique opportunity to spend a portion of yesterday's evening at Cosi's with two lovely ladies.
Did you know when Cosi's was Xandos, it wasn't pronounced 'Zan-doze', but 'Ex and Ohs'? Me neither. So quit complaining that they changed the name from 'Zan-doze', because it never was. :)
