Our kitchen is coming to kill all of you. Every last one. I've put off cleaning it for about half an hour now. Sooo gross. Especially the sink. I hate sinks.

This summer has been mad unproductive. I need to make a whole mess of progress in the Knuth book I picked up at the library last week. I never realised that Temple's library had such a great selection of CS texts. I need to read more so I have an excuse to visit it more.

I still haven't bothered reinstalling Slackware on this computer. I need to do that. I miss Linux and am getting sick of Windows. :)
I think I mentioned this before, but I also want to play around with the computer I had loaned Aymon a whiles back and see if I can turn that into a maildrop, firewall, and router. Or, I could forget the router business, put on a console-based AIM client, a copy of PINE, a copy of Lynx, and a ssh daemon, and I'll be able to do about 60% of what I use computers for over a ssh session. Call me crazy, but I think that's pretty classy. It would be much more classy if our upload speeds weren't throttled to heck, but what's a guy to do?

I got my first check-plus on a writing assignment for Tourism and Hospitality. All the others were checks. Ironically, I thought this was the weakest assignment I've handed in yet. I cannot wait until this class is over. I can feel my brain decaying. Does this mean I am looking forward to IH2? What's wrong with me?

Normally I don't remember my dreams, but last night's was really weird. It involved me and another guy and a bunch of girls wanting to be master swordsmen (swordspeople?) or something. I got the gist of that it was some sort of test of manliness. Which makes no sense, since girls were trying for it also. I don't remember exactly what was involved besides lots of running, but I do remember something that was either "extra credit" or the final trial. It involved girls being in one room, and me and the guy in the other. Then, everyone had to run out of our rooms, open a door that was covered in bees, and then run around the house we were in a bunch of times. The idea is that master swordspeople are good runners, so they won't be stung by the bees too much. I let the other guy open the doors because I don't like bees. Not one bit. I woke up before I actually went around the house. Probably because I don't like bees. It was 5:30 in the morning.

Tomorrow I don't have work, so I'm going to talk to someone and see if I can work mornings at UPS. That should be interesting, to say the least.

I think I procrastinate because I'm convinced that if I put them off long enough, my problems will go away. Unfortunately, the kitchen is still here. I am scared.
