A Philadelphia preacher known for denouncing homosexuality was convicted today by a Chester County jury of soliciting sex from a West Chester teenager.
White, who moved to Philadelphia in 1991, started a campus group called Soldiers for Christ at Temple University and worked in New Jersey at a youth ministry in Clayton, Gloucester County. He also began an urban ministry for children, the Philadelphia Gospel Outreach Center in North Philadelphia.
In published interviews, White has said that he targets college campuses because "that's where most of the sinners hang out." White has vocally condemned Jews, Muslims, atheists and homosexuals.
