Communication Sciences: Communication Deviations and Disorders
The professor seems pretty nice. The course material will either be quite interesting or very dry. I can't decide yet. I'm hoping for the former, so I have motivation to wake up for this 8:40-ian beast. :-\
Computer Science 307: Introduction to Distributed Systems and Networks
Supposed to be one of the hardest required classes that our department throws at us. However, the course material actually looks interesting, in the same way 207 looked interesting. As long as we keep on talking about software and don't spend too much time talking about low system/hardware level stuff, I could see myself enjoying this class. Plus, Ingargiola rocks. Another perk: My favorite Gen Alfredo is taking the course! I thought I would be all alone since both her and djrust took the course last semester. It seems like Gen dropped last semester, so I have a lab buddy. ;-)
As an aside, it was disheartening to hear my favorite professor go on about how ugly the Real World is for people in my field. :-\
Computer Science 320: Computer Networks and Communications
This should be useful as well as be an easy A. The prof seems a bit unenthused, but his teaching style seems okay, none the less. He introduces things in a way that makes you think, "Hey. So THAT'S what that's called. I knew all about that!" even if you never heard of it before. It should be a good chance to round out my rough Java skills as well as get some Linux system admin junk under my belt.
Theater: Acting for Non-Majors
Chance, the prof seems okay. finnell1912 is in my class, which is cool since I finally got to meet one of my coworkers. :-P Scary Murphy is also in my class, which is somewhat less cool. O_O; Having a Murphy 2 inches from your face seductively nodding to try to get you to "Get Over Here" is a bit tramatic.
Political Science: Race in American Politics
This is probably going to be my hardest class, but at least it's flexable. The professor seems reasonable.
We haven't gone over any music yet, so I don't really know what to think. It's weird since it seems like everyone knows everybody else already.
