Maybe I will make a "real post" sometime soon.

Probably not.

Greenspan Warns About Trade Deficit Impact
So far, foreigners are willing to lend the United States money to finance the current account imbalances, Greenspan pointed out. The worry, however, is that at some point foreigners might suddenly lose interest in holding dollar-denominated investments. That could cause foreigners to unload investments in U.S. stocks and bonds, sending their prices plunging and interest rates soaring.

Whenever I brought up the possibility that foreign banks might someday not want to fund our defecit, people laughed at me. What do you have to say now?

Sometimes, I hate being right.

Are You A Comfort Addict?

In a word, yes. ;-) Perhaps this article sheds some light on the rational behind the past few generations?

The other day, Clinton asked, "Am I the only person in the entire United States of America who likes both George W. Bush and John Kerry?"

Chile answered, "Yes, Bill. We will go as far as to say you are the only person in the entire world who likes both George W. Bush and John Kerry."

Kerry to Give Dems Leftover Campaign Cash

Party leaders, including some of Kerry's top campaign aides, said this week they were surprised and angry to learn that he had more than $15 million in accounts from the Democratic primaries. They demanded to know why the money wasn't spent to help Kerry defeat President Bush or to aid congressional candidates.

I can understand why Democrats would be annoyed that Kerry did not put the extra money towards Democrats running for Congress. However, I believe that his campaign had already reached a saturation point and dumping more money towards it would not make an impact.

Everyone knew that Kerry was the guy running against Bush by the last week. If they did not know his positions on the issues, it was because they found Roves lies more believable, or they had no interest in knowing.

The two campaigns were so stretched for ideas, they were resorting to nature commercials. Unless if that money was spent to bribe priests to say that voting for Bush would be a sin instead of vice versa, I doubt that spending that money would have made a difference.

Heeehee. Jon from the Daily Show also told Bill Clinton that he was the only one who liked both Bush and Kerry, adding that was the reason why he didn't get an umbrella during his speech. ^_^

Yes! I saw that last night. After I saw the Chile article this afternoon, I searched for an article that had that Clinton quote. :)

Have you read America (the book)? I'm about half way through it. It's not quite as funny as I thought it was going to be, but it's still pretty awesome.

I haven't read it yet. I've been keeping myself busy with smutty vampire novels. ^_^
