|I didn't die.

I haven't given a reasonable update for nearly a month, so you're stuck dealing with a mamoth post now. Scroll down while you still can! I'm going to go in chronological order, rather than order of importance. :-P
Surprisingly, I got a part in Upper Darby Summer Stage's mainstage production of "42nd Street". For those of you familiar with the show, my character is Abner Dillon. The part came completely unexpectedly, as in my opinion, my auditions and callbacks were my poorest to date. However, the Powers That Be seem to disagree or were going off of other stuff I've done in the past, so I'm not complaining. :) This is my first time not being chorus person #13253 at mainstage, so just having a name, much less a character that has a significant impact on the plot, is exciting. The show dates are July 29th, July 30th, August 6th, and August 7th. I hope some of y'all manage to make it out.
For several weeks, I was fairly boring. MicroEcon, work, rehearsal, and the occational hackfest on TSchedule took up all my time. (Micro was interesting, but not interesting enough for me to go to class. I earned a B+. Fortunately, the professor let me out of midterm I skipped! TSchedule is not done, to this day. I am very worried about that exploding in my face very soon.)
However, this past weekend proved to be interesting. Mostly interesting in the bad way. I managed to break up with Amanda, go to Live8 with her the next day, mull the following day over what an idiot I am, and then got back together on the 4th. It's kind of silly for me to even write about it, since most of the people who matter already heard about it from her the day I was mulling. :-P As you might imagine, some people are upset about these turns of events. (Of course, these people haven't bothered to talk to me. What did you expect?) Needless to say, those people can all blow themselves if such a feat is anatomically possible. :) We had so-so reasons for breaking up and good reasons for getting back together. And, uh, it's our lives.
Don't worry. I'm not leaving this entry on such a sour note. In 1:30 hours, it will be my 22nd birthday. Celebrate me. :) Each year since 7/7/2001, I believe I have changed dramatically from one year from the rest, and this past year has been no exception to that. Last year, I was driven to insanity the Apt Apt, and this year I've learned to cope with insanity by living with my parents. ;-) Joking aside, though, while I believe in past years I've grown for the better, I fear that this year my world view has changed dramatically, I don't think I've grown much as a person. To try to kick start this next year, I'm working on some resolutions for this next year. Lots of stuff I've always had on the back of my mind, but never bothered doing. I may write them here tomorrow; I haven't decided on that yet.
So what am I doing for my birthday, outside of mulling over what the next year could bring? ;-) Pretty much the same I normally do. Classes and rehearsal. ;-) I'm grabbing some drinks with butterflyme after rehearsal out in the 'burbs. If anyone wants to join, the more the merrier. :) Give the cell phone a holla sometime tomorrow.
