|And, two and a half months later.

I haven't written much, but I have a good excuse. I have been busy like whoa.|
For yet another summer, the majority of my evenings are consumed by this place. I have taken up my recurring role of ensemble person #3465 this year in their production of "Beauty and the Beast". We have a little under a month left before the show opens, and it's not in bad shape. We still have a lot to do and the cast needs to learn how to shut the hell up, but things feel like they are moving along nicely.
In the "slightly different from normal" department, I'm directing a short scene in addition to being in a short scene, as I normally do. The scene I am directing is a piece by David Ives, titled "English Made Simple". Quite a funny piece. I hope it turns out well! I don't know what scene I am in yet.
On the class front, I've experienced the calm before the storm. I secured a B+ in "Death and Dying" with little to no sweat raised. We haven't even finished our first complete week of Physics 2, and I can tell it's going to be a rough 6 weeks. I just need to keep my eye on the prize: once I am done this course, I will only have one more in the Fall. Then, freedom from the Big T! Yay.
Interesting things have been interesting on the work front. Although I am in a bit of a slump right now due to Physics consuming my life, in the month of June I believe I earned more from contract work than I did from my Temple job. I'm hoping once mid-August comes around I'll be able to kick things back up into high gear, building up to a point where I can completely live off of contract work by the time December comes around.
The start of July has been really weird because I haven't gotten much done. I took my first real vacation in a long long time to visit Amanda's family up in middle-of-nowhere PA. It's a nice and relaxing place to visit, but I don't see how people can live up there! Then, the following weekend was my birthday. Amanda and Dana were kind enough to set up an almost-surprise party at New Deck Tavern which turned out very nice. Thank you to everyone who came out!
The only other noteworthy thing in my life has been the home-hunt. We found a pretty nice 3BR around the Clark Park area. Now it's just a matter of figuring out if we're going to have roommates or not.
That's all for now. I guess I'll talk to you all again in 2 months!
